Stats after tutorial:
3-3-5-5-3
Stats at insight 5:
3-5-5-5-5
Learn Stiletto Trap at the Mileth Rogue. It costs one Good Snow Secret.
Next you need 20-6-3-18-10 for Coiled Bolt Trap
Go for con first
3-5-5-18-5 at insight 12
Then strength
7-5-5-18-5 at insight 14
Then dex and int
7-6-5-18-10 at insight 17
With a complete Cean set (including cean gold earings and creag neart spell) you now have 20 Str and can learn Coiled Bolt. It costs one Good Blossom Dagger and 10k coins at the Soumi Rogue.
You can also learn Study Creature now. It costs 1 Centipede's Gland and 5k coins at the Soumi Rogue. You wont need this skill right now but it will save you time on down the road.
You need 30 10 5 22 12 for Spring Trap
Again, go for con first
7-6-5-22-10 at insight 19
You need 10 more strength
17-6-5-22-10 at insight 24
Then dex and int
17-10-5-22-12 at insight 27
Using your cean set you used before you should have the necessary stats for Spring Trap. Spring trap costs 2 Fine Center Daggers and 10k coins at the Pravat Grimlok.
By this point you can either go straight for maiden and continue soloing or you can do what I did and start going for Great Blind Snare and Study Creature and begin group hunting.
--If going for Maiden First--
You need 35 12 5 18 45 for Maiden Trap
Your stats right now should be 17-10-5-22-12 at insight 27
You only need 5 more str, add your extra point at insight 30 to dex
22-10-5-22-13 at insight 30
Next get the necessary dex and int
22-12-5-22-45 at insight 47
Using your cean set again you should now be able to learn Maiden Trap. You can learn it one insight earlier using a pair of cean shagreen boots. Maiden Trap will cost you 2 Fine Light Daggers and 10k coins at the Pravat Grimlok.
--If going for Great Blind Snare First--
You need 13 20 9 6 25 to learn Great Blind Snare
Your stats right now should be 17-10-5-22-12 at insight 27
Go for dex first
17-10-5-22-23 at insight 33
With a Luathos set, a mythril or hy-b belt and Luathos Shagreen Boots you can now learn Great Blind Snare. It costs 4 Bat's Wings and 25k gold at the Astrid Kobold.
Once you max study creature you can blind and tell elements. This makes you a very useful and sometimes necessary member in a group and should take you all the way to 99.
You can now learn Maiden Trap, Peek and Sense at your own leisure so you may master when you reach 99.

Yes I strongly agree with this. I think a good rule for a new char is get the wis/con you'll need for skills/spells before anything else. (there are some exceptions... like priests) In this case I would say get at the very least 10 wis around the time you get stiletto. I myself would probably get 20 wis around that time (or more depending on whether I feel like extra hunting) wis is also pretty useful for hunting later on. Blinds don't take a lot of mana but if you ever run into a large ambush in CR, and you run out of mana blinding... well, you get the point.
Edit: Mana is also very good for when you become archer. The more you get as you level the less you will have to buy to be a good archer.

be careful following this stat plan, its not the best.
if you're new to the game, you might want to try a warrior class, they're a little easier than juggling traps and mana that a rogue has.
but if you really want to go rogue (and with most classes), first thing you should do is get about 10 wis and 10 con right off the bat. these help you in the long run with your hp and mp rise/level.
then following the stat plan might be useful, but just warning, everyone screws up their first character :P

Only problem is:
My memory card doesn't work now.
So I'd have to do it all in one sitting.
Edit: Maybe I should do a speed run to 100% completion, too :O
CAN HE DO IT? YES HE CAN
On topic @ necro: Start off with a monk and then at 99 sub to rogue. :)

It's a decent enough guide. It is a bit too much solo-play oriented for my liking, and I'd advice any aspiring rogue to take more wisdom then that, but it's decent.
If I were to make a new baby rogue, I would get his wis and con both up to 20 before doing many other things. True, it'll be a pain to get up higher during some moments, but it would pay off in the end.
