We get it Faunadestia; you're angry and rebellious.
You stated that "The purpose of this thread is to collect feedback on the ideas listed so that I can refine this list.". In my eyes, Skee posted the best suggestions as to how you should revise your little list. I told you as much. You also stated yourself that you would be sending this list to KRU. I merely reinforced what Skee said. Why? Because it's a more effective approache than [filtered]ty suggestions.
If your final planned action was to send this revised list to KRU, then your only logical goal would be to see change within the game. There are no other possibilities there. Also way to take the only real revision with a grain of salt. I think you thought people were going to praise your ideas.
So once again idiot, listen to what Skee suggested, because as of now you just have a pile of [filtered]. Although I doubt any revisions you make will improve your pile of [filtered], because a pile of [filtered] such as yourself can't be expected to produce anything better than you guessed it, a pile of [filtered].
EDIT: At least you acknowledge the worthlessness of your suggestions in your own second post. It takes a real tool to know they're a tool and plow on forward anyways.

in short, (and i hate myself for using this phrase): pp moar.
btw, don't say you're not hoping for some sort of change to darkages. if you weren't, you wouldn't be wasting your time and their's with this [filtered].

Edit; Irony that you can post in a thread and, at the same time, call it a waste of time.

I mean, you're fully aware that the whole idea is an exercise in futility; so what is your ultimate goal, if you are aware that it will accomplish nothing?

Edit; On the side, it wouldn't hurt to send these ideas to KRU regardless of their response, hence the format.

I had a feeling this was your intent, I thought I'd lead the questioning in that direction. :)

The ones who DO attempt to get something changed, ask for the opinions of those who will obviously only complain and what happens? We get told to join the masses who do NOTHING to help themselves. Every single day I get more and more fed up with the population of DA, and I'm beginning to realize why the world has always considered Gamers to be losers. After all, from what I'm seeing they're a bunch of "do nothing" and complain when nothing gets done. So what if KRU has in the past ignored our attempts, even our pleas.
The point is, we should still try, if you've given up and you have ANY problems with the game what so ever, just quit, afterall it's not going to get ANY better like you continually say. The truth is, we as players have never actually attempted to intelligently have anything changed.
Telling KRU why we want changes to be implemented or how/why it will help will allow them to see WHY we want changes made. If I tell my boss he needs to fire someone he's going to look at me like I'm stupid. If I say, "Fire him, his calls take too long, and put more stress on me." Once again, he might look at me like I'm stupid but he's more likely to look into it, and if I go a step farther and say, "Hey, you should look into firing Larry, his calls are really long and it puts more stress on me and the other techs. The sooner you get him out of here, the sooner you can hire someone else who's actually going to be able to do the job properly." It seems like less of a personal attack on Larry and more of me looking out for the benefit of the company.
I work in a customer service industry, I've been doing the same thing for several different companies since 2001, and the only reason I haven't been with the same company is because I'd try new things when I got back to town from College, or from when I moved to NYC, or any number of reasons.
Anyways, everyone who has something negative to say, just stop. Stop trying to discourage those people who want to try, let them try let them fail, hell we're even giving into you saying, "Oh we're sure this won't work but....."
SO, all that being said, if you LIKE his suggestions, when he gets his revised version, please pm him here, I'm sure he'd like support when he goes to KRU with the idea. I know myself for one, I will mail KRU his list in similar form, with possibly my OWN reasons for wanting the changes to be made. This will allow KRU to see it's not just some random guy thinking he can do a better job than them. It's a guy who's already got community support, and a community who would like to see KRU make some changes.

Except they couldn't charge, so they'd essentially have to be working harder than kru for zero money, which leads one to think it wouldn't last too long.

Running a private Dark Ages server would take little to no resources, and working harder than Kru isn't really a feat.

Depends if the server owners decide to delete the characters if the character creator doesn't donate. Although I seriously doubt a private server would outdo DA because DA has politics and such for rule breakers. Without anyone enforcing rules, there would be speeders, 0 line spellers, harassment, etc.

Because when you have an official company name, like KRU, your [filtered]ty server is instantly better. But anyone else, no, they couldn't have a server with a good connection! UNTHINKABLE!
People don't realize that free, low requirement, games like RO have been running free shards that support large playerbases for years. Sure someone is going to foot the bill for a server and it's uptime costs, but I certainly wouldn't mind, and I have more need for a server than just to host a game I enjoy.
