It has been many moons since my father, Pasha Hyrill the Blue Dragon, last held a metting of the Blue Dragon School. He has been busy on many adventures and as one of his only remaining pupils, and his son, I was wondering if I should reopen the Blue Dragon School and have a meeting soon. I will try my best to contact my father over the next double moon, but I want to know if any other monks would be interested in attending a session of the school. Potential topics right now are:

Monk History: From the Mountains of Undine?
Battle Tactics: When NOT to Ambush.

Please let me know if any of you honorable monks are interested in attending while I contact my father and make sure that this is alright with him.

It is a school for monks only, though I don't see a reason why spectators wouldn't be allowed to watch and/or participate. But if there is no interest, then there won't be a class anyway. So it is a moot point.

Any type of monk is welcome to come and attend. I didn't say just pure path monks. I'm, happy to have those who have rededicated also. *smiles*

Yeah, that would be real nice =)
I would probably attend, and maybe help out a bit too. I have done a lot of calculating on monk stats for example.
So count me in. Just need to renew my account soon. ( Cant get hold of a visa =( )

i'll be there, if the school is reopened.

I'm geussing teh meeting would answer this question I am asking but..:What exactly would teh school be doing? Teaching Lore and battle tactics?*SHrugs* Either way. If you were to hold I would probebly attend.. that or my brother Thrayke. There may always be somethign new for us to learn.. The history sounds to be the most relevent.. as both me and my brother Thrayke are.. fairly well versed in the tactics of battle. This experiance is geared more towards the smiting of the mosnters of the realm and not aislings, but I belive there may alays be another way.. and would gladly attend. There seems to be too little "unity" among monks I believe, would be interesting to have somethign like this, mayhaps something to belong to.

Well, the school is designed to bring monks together as a family. It's sad to see that the history of monks is fading from the lands. How many mentors tell their pupils that each monk is their brother or sister? You are all my brother and sisters if you are a monk. The school is there to bring you back to your roots. It is also there to discuss battle tactics, form teaching, organize hunting groups, practicing partners, and so much more.

All monks are welcome to come and participate ((please keep in mind that this means you are currently a monk. rogue/monk, war/monk, priest/monk, etc..)) and all others are welcome to come and be spectators.

A lone Monk wearing but a Mileth Dobok enters

"It would seem interesting, a school of the Monk. However, I hope it would be true to the path? By that, I mean not just glorifying merciless killing, but truly understanding the balance in what we do? Should that be the case, I would certainly be interested in attending."

It truly is about the balance of the path. That is why the school focuses on two main points. The body, and the mind. The body needs training, so we talk of tactics and strategy. The mind also needs training, so we talk of history, and lore.

I still need to talk to Pasha, my father, about it, but it looks like I may do it with his permission, after all.

*looks around and doesn't see any female monks* hmm... *jumps up and down and waves her arms* I wanna come! But, er, Dae... can you give some details of when and where? (When you find that out, of course) And also, is it a strict lecture based class? or is discussion involved? Hope to hear about it soon!

I have been keeping an eye out for my father to ask his opinion on the matter, but alas I have not seen him awake in the lands for some time. I know he has been rather busy and keeps odd hours. I will send a carrier pidgeon to him and ask again. Once I am sure he doesn't mind, I will see about setting a time and a place.

((I'll be sure to post info here and see about getting it put on the DA website too. Please keep in mind that this is a roleplaying exprience, meant for discussion and for monks to meet each other. There will be no physical experience reward, legend mark, items, or anythign else of that nature.))

The school of the blue dragon teaches dicipline of the mind, spirit, and body. Daedelus has done a wonderful job explaining the details of the school, and i am sorry that i couldn't respond sooner. Yes, blue dragon was originally a school for monks, or those of the martial arts nature. Within the world of temuair, abel's beach was chosen as the schools location. Within the school, the students were herded into one area and lectured by myself for a brief while, then divided into groups via the assistant senseis. Senseis are teachers if you were not aware of their meaning. Each sensei had a certain area they covered....from battle tactics to herbalism. The school met once a double moon in the sandy shore, and went on for roughly a few hours a meeting. This is a rather vague description of what it is, but it will suffice for the time being.
Recently though, i had pondered adding other classes. I'm not sure if daedelus was aware of this, but he will obviously be now. However, the adding of other classes to the school has proven much more difficult than i originally figured. So, in an effort, i tried to elect one member of the different classes to teach those of their own path. There was a problem however. That being that too many applied for one position, so i eventually just dropped the idea. Now however, i am tempted to try again. I suppose we'll see what happens when the school is actually revived and thriving again.
As for the new Blue Dragon, i'm going to let my son, Daed, run the school. I've been gone far too long to even imagine that i know about certain things like new hunting techniques, or other progresses i'm not aware of. However, i will be there to teach those that are willing, the old ways of the monk. That, i am very well versed in, and am still very much a follower of. I suppose i may teach something to a handfull of people, but i'll always be there for the classes, and for general questions. At least, i hope to be. Well, that's about all i have to say on this subject for the time being. Be well.

Should you be seeking aid for other classes, as a Priest, I, Innoruk, would be willing to help with information on the Temuairian Pantheon. You may be free to send me a pigeon at the Inn of Tagor, or contact me here in the Global Forums.

((Once again, that's Innoruk if you want help =P))

The times are not yet determined for those that are wondering. It could still be quite some time, but somehow i think it will be sooner. I wouldn't think that it would be more than four double moons before it opens. I somehow think it will be sooner from what Daed tells me. The times will be posted once everything is squared away...heh. Good day.

Hmm... It sounds wonderful! Daed, if you need any help with it I'd be glad to lend a hand... particularly in teaching Herbalism. Just send me a pigeon sometime if ya need anything. As for you, Pasha, I commend you for being the one responsible for what seems to be an excellent school.

That sounds wonderful Nympheas. Right now, I am trying to create a plan on how I would like the classes to be taught. Pasha likes multiple teachers, but I was planning on having a simple discussion. I think perhaps we will compromise and have three topics, one I will talk on and discuss, one perhaps Nigma will talk on and discuss, and then of course, Herbalism, which I would love to have you talk about. Of course, Nigma hasn't agreed to that yet, but perhaps he will see this and grace us with a "yes". *smiles and winks*

((So the first meeting will most likely be 1hr-1 1/2hr with this schedule:
Daedelus - Monk History
Nigma - Battle Tactics
Nympheas - Herbalism
Pasha Hyrill - ?

I'm not sure what Pasha wants to do yet or if he's going to do anything. Also, I'm looknig to do it on a weekday in the evening, some time between 9pm CST (central standard time) and 11pm CST. I'll post a poll for it later.))

I'll decide what i want to talk about when i'm there Daed. Besides, i'm probably just going to lecture to a few at a time. Oh yes, on a side note, collins has returned. He is wanting to participate in Blue Dragon as well. I suggest you speak to him sometime as well. And yes, i think we may have to discuss a few things before we open the doors to the school..heh. Anyway, good day.
