So PDA was down for a few days as the database server crashed -- it wasn't a big deal and everything is back where it should be. The timing kind of sucked since I was unavailable the last few days, which led to a bit of a delay. But, we're up now!

Muisir Village Preview
We are excited to give you a sneak preview of the NEW Muisir Village. Muisir Village was originally a zone named Pano Forest located within the Selaime region, neighbor to Aman Jungle. We've decided that Medenia has too many zones compared to the little amount that Temuair has, so we've renamed Pano Forest to Muisir Village and moved it to Temuair, next to Undine Village!
The Muisir Village will include:
-Hunting grounds for insight 1-98
-Numerous areas to explore for all insight/ability players

Catch a Leprechaun
Is it Leprechaun Season? I just caught a glimpse of one lurking around my shop. I heard other aislings seeing them around other villages as well. If you have never seen one before, come drop by in the "Suomi Weapon Shop." I might be able to help you if you want to try and catch one.

Lucky Clovers are sprouting in Temuair. You might be able to find one if you are lucky. You will be rewarded with prizes.
Find Locky's Charms
A leprechaun named Locky has lost his magical charms in Temuair. Will you help him find them? Look for him standing next to a lamp post in Mileth Village. You will be rewarded with rewards depending on the number charms you find.

Aidan & Nadia will be at Loures Castle giving away Valentine's Gifts to all registered players. The Valentine's Gift will contain "VDay Bonus Exp-Ap(x10)" which is tradeable. One you open this gift, the contents inside will be bonded to your character.
**The "VDay Bonus Exp-Ap" will give players 1 hour of DOUBLE exp/ap rate gained through monster kills, quest rewards, etc.**
**Insight 99 is required to accept the gift**

Balanced Arena
Balanced Arena will be open on Friday, January 18th and closed on Monday, January 21st for a special event.
Arena Duo Tournament
This event is a duel tournament with teams of two. Winner will take all the glory!
All participants must pay an entry fee of 5mil gold per person (10m per team), must be level 99+ and registered to participate.
Rules:
- No item/kelb out
- No double kelb or more allowed.
- No light necklace
- All regular arena rules apply. Troublemakers will be exiled until event is over.
- More detailed rules to follow on the coliseum board.
Prizes:
1st Place winners will get 75% of the gold pool + Champion Belts.
2nd Place winners will get 15% of the gold pool.
3rd Place winners will get 10% of the gold pool.
Legend marks will be given to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners.
Top 5 will receive Arena Host Bags.
To all combatants interested in joining the tournament, please contact Master Host Naena or Firion before Jan 19th, 4pm PST.
((This is a player-run event, please be at your best behavior. This event will be held on Saturday, January 19th in the Balanced Arena, 5:00pm PST.))

The Mileth Fair is here and will be opening shortly! The fairgrounds will be open for about one moon.
Numerous special events sponsored by the Suomi Troupe and Novus Imperia will be hosted during the course of the fair.
Merchant and Event Booth rentals (seals) will also be available to all aislings at any time the fair is open.

"During the cold winter, many beggars have fallen to starvation, and even frozen to death. This holiday season, the Piet Priestess, Narve has asked the Suomi Troupe to rally kind Aislings to aide the beggars in Temuair!
So, bring warmth and comfort to the less fortunate and you might get yourself something special!

Bored with just sitting on his throne, King Bruce has decided to host a pig chasing event in the Lover's Maze Garden.
Any Aisling that can successfully capture a male and female piglet will receive a legend mark, Star Medal, a chance to get one of the following prize:

So for those of you who checked in earlier today, you might have noticed a site upgrade in progress. That upgrade didn't go so great. All our profile pictures got trashed, and our site theme broke terribly. Meanwhile, during the clean-up, I decided that we really needed to get off of Dreamhost. So now we're on Amazon, and the front page loads in about 0.2 seconds instead of 1.2 seconds. Not bad! Unfortunately, I had to roll back the site to the backup I made right before the upgrade. Anything you did after about 12:30 PM GMT-0800 on November 6, 2012 is lost. Sorry!
Meanwhile, I still want to upgrade PDA's IP.Board installation -- we're getting hit by some really aggressive spambots, which is pretty much my cue to finally do the updates.
I don't have a timeline for that right now. It went pretty ugly before, so I'll test it out on a clone before putting it out in public, which is the way I've always done it before -- I suppose it's to be expected that the one time the upgrade actually fails, is the one time I decide to test the upgrade live. :)
